Sanchez has also often made headlines for her engagement to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Lauren later joined the TV show Extra as a correspondent. She also worked as a journalist and anchor for the newsmagazine series Goin’ Deep which was on Fox Sports Net. She was also an entertainment reporter for the sports show The Best Damn Sports Show Period. In 1999, she went back to KCOP as the host of UPN 13 News. Later on, she started working at KTTV station that is owned and operated by Fox Network.
She then began hosting the popular FOX dance competition show So You Think You Can Dance. She occasionally appears on other TV shows like Good Day L.A and Extra. Her role as a host gained her widespread recognition.
