Place of birth and Education
Annie was born in Ibadan, Nigeria but comes from Akwa Ibom state. After her parents divorced while she was 10 years old, Annie moved together with her mum to Lagos, Nigeria.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and Theatre Arts after completing undergraduate courses at Lagos State University and University of Lagos respectively.
Family
Annie is also known for her marriage to the music legend Innocent Idibia (2Baba). The two have been together for 25 years and married for 13 years.
Together, the two gave birth to two daughters: Isabella born in December 2008 and Olivia born in January 2014.
However, in early 2025, 2Baba made an announcement about their separation, a development that made headlines and left stirred reactions amongst their fans.
Career
Before acquiring fame as a Nollywood star, Annie took many minor modelling and acting jobs, earning from 2000 naira to 5000 naira.
Upon appearing in her then-boyfriend’s song African Queen in the year 2004, Annie’s journey of fame started.
Annie took part in a beauty pageant called Queen of All Nations and worn the third position.
In 2009, Annie starred in her first Nollywood movie. She played famous roles in movies like Blackberry Babes and Pleasure and Crime.

Being very charitable, Annie has also founded a non-charitable care foundation called Annie Idibia Care Foundation. Its purpose is to help young women prepare for adult life and to teach them how to be active and responsible citizens.
